Three quick phrases - CPR for our faith

Many of you have been writing that deep inside you believe you'll have to pay for everything you get ... That every wish come true costs something. That it's even better to settle for less hoping the payment will be reduced... I have to tell you that no one actually expects you to pay. Believe it or not. And don't mistake other people's choices in their own lives with a payment imposed on you! If you got your dream job while your uncle broke his leg, take into consideration the fact that he has made his own choices which led to the broken leg. When deep in your mind such wrong beliefs flourish, chances are they will attract precisely that - a chain of problems which then your mind will label "payment" and you'll be convinced it reached you, and from then on you'll enter the circle again. It's going to take much more than a blog post to go over all this, so I decided to just share with you three quick phrases which I consider a CPR for our faith in the generosity of all that surrounds us.

"For the good of all and the harm of none" - the universal spell of the witches. ;) Whatever happens is for the good of all and everyone will benefit, one way or another.

"Today a lovely miracle will happen to me" - start your day with the belief that at least one lovely miracle will happen to you and because it's a miracle, it's free. Miracles are not bananas and they have no price tags.

"Fate!" - each time a wish of yours come true, each time you achieve a dream, say it: "Fate!" Against fate even the most suspicious mind will not dare to fight. Your fate is to be lucky, what can you do about it? Fate! :)

Merry, merry, how does your luck grow?

To paraphrase a little. :)))) So, how does your luck grow? Is it abundant? Is it ripe yet? Do you water it regularly or do you trust nature to bring what has to be born? St. Patrick's day is just around the corner and while I'm not Irish, I'm in love with all the green that truly brings spring into my house! We've already bought tons of green balloons, sparkling four-leaf clovers, garlands of emerald beer mugs (wisely chosen by my 3-year old son!), table cloth covered with all kinds of spring plants in bloom, and even green scented candles! Now, only a pot of gold is needed to complete the picture. :)))))

I read a couple of days ago a bunch of posts on some pretty famous new age blogs about luck. I got a bit tired of seeing the same old phrase "luck is when preparation meets opportunity" again and again. It seems some of our most acclaimed positive thinking authors can not come up with anything truly new.

In fact, luck does exist. There are millions of extremely well prepared people out there and tons of good opportunities flying around, yet only some will be at the right place at the right time. That's what luck is. And the other way around - some of the not so well prepared people seem to attract all kinds of opportunities. We may get prepared in the best possible way and never meet the opportunity we prepared so well for. That's what luck is. All the rest is just blah-blah to me. If anyone can enlighten me what Paris Hilton, for example, was well prepared for, please. Or we may dive deep in spiritual thought and assume that Paris Hilton's soul was excellently prepared to be born in this particular family but I am not that spiritual and to me this is pure luck.

Can we help it? Yes and no. What we can do is to be well prepared (really). Study, seek opportunities, risk, have faith, etc. But don't despair if it didn't happen in two, six or twelve months. I know it's extremely hard. I'm still going through a five year period of incredible chain of failures. My medicine is to wake up each morning and recite "I'm lucky to be here" and "I'm grateful to be here". Just so. Just because I'm alive. Know that if there is anything truly powerful in our possession, it's the power of gratitude. If luck will knock on my door today? I have no idea but somehow the mantra I created for myself is still keeping my faith strong - something I couldn't manage to do otherwise.

I also believe in all kinds of angels, magic, faeries, leprechauns and so on. This part of my imagination is another major player in my battle with the lack of "preparation meets opportunity". It's nice to have a fairy or unicorn to talk to. Especially when talking with "adults" on the subject is almost heretic. So be it.

*Mark Roberts' Leprechaun Elf

In two words, get your hands on lots of green and four-leaf clovers, add a significant dose of sparkle, turn your place into a magical cave of spring refreshing abundance, and who knows... Saint Patrick may stop right in front of your door and he may even take a pot of gold out of his hat. ;) Cheers! :)))))

P.S. Anyone remember this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0205214/ ? A favorite spring treat of mine! :))

Is summer coming anytime soon?

I freely admit the cool weather which reminds me more of October than of June is killing me! I'm eager for sun rays, heat, long evenings and velvet nights. My thoughts are running towards beaches and sea coasts where women walk in the dusk leaving a delicate trace of perfume and men in linen pants share the last sport news after an aperitif. But here I am, still studying, still looking forward to having a vacation.

Last week I went to a huge book store and instead of some professional literature, I found myself out carrying two books about provence, one book about travelling in the Mediterranean and one book on Gipsy magic... Now, the last one I didn't buy and that was the curious thing. I found it under the other ones only after I was already on my way home. The cashier put it there. I wonder if I look that much in need of magic?

Do you consider such events just coincidences or do you believe everything that happens to us was meant to happen and has a purpose? I'm willing to believe the latter as I definitely need some magic right now.

Other things started happening too. Like more people talking to me about one particular place where I want to be. Or having a fortune cookie which tells me something related to this place. Of course, my mind may consider them all natural but my heart doesn't want to believe.

And in addition, my best friend told me to watch "The Secret" to get an idea on how magic could work. I guess I'm one of the few who hadn't seen it yet as I understand it was very popular. It sounds OK although I find all these people quite overreacting at times. In general, I know energy comes and goes and there is logic in assuming that positive would bring the same and vice versa. In any case, I'm practicing visualization every day. And I come from a place where all this was known long ago but never had commercial success. may be the people didn't want it to have. May be it was supposed to remain a secret.
